Another Layman’s tutorial. I am now obsessing over these Laura Geller products. I am in no way sponsored by Laura Geller. Just a love of the two products I’ve tried so far of hers.

Enjoy!

And…if you try this out and blog the picture, send me a link in the comment section below and I’ll check it out!

Lots of love!

Easter 2013 – Picture Ideas

Easter is next Sunday. While we don’t celebrate Easter, we will probably do an Easter egg hunt at Mamaw’s house like last year. So, I thought I would share some of the pictures. I didn’t have a photo editor last year so these have just been hiding on my hard drive waiting to be shared. I was able to take some mediocre captures to some great pieces that I’d put up or out for people to see. Check them out and get some ideas. I’m rolling around the idea of accepting other people’s edits. If you wanted to send me your pictures, I could edit them and see what I could come up with. For a fee of course, but very little because I am a wiz with this editor I have and it doesn’t take me a very long time. If you’re interested feel free to get in touch.

So here we go! Are you ready for cuteness!?

Big brother Rylan helping baby brother Mark find some eggs.

Markee being the smallest, I followed him around. It was so cute when he found one! He wasn’t even two yet in this picture!Image

Papaw helping Mark find eggs. Can we say, “Awwww!!!”Image

Mhmm…Little monsters getting dirty playing in Mamaw’s rocks.

Image

What am I supposed to do with this thing now? LOL

Image

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing. I can’t believe he was so little.

Image

Rylan and his big bucket of eggs! He may be our middle child but he’s definitely the biggest and fastest.

Image

Hey now Papaw! Gimme dat egg! ❤

Image

We knew from the start that these two were as close as peas and carrots. I still often find pictures of these two partners in crime.

Image

Madison and her pretty pink princess basket.

Image

Say, now I say, hey there….How’d she get all of those eggs? My sneaky little ninja.

Image

Mamaw and all her grandkiddos! Rylan, Mark, Abe (roof, roof), Madeline, and Madison! (Yes it gets confusing with a Maddy and a Madi…LOL)

Image

Mamaw and the boys. Huntin’ for those eggs.

Image

Mark still wasn’t walking that great. It was so funny to see him bend down and reach.

Image

Oh looky there! What a tricky papaw hid it in the grass! LOL

So there you go guys! Those are some of our Easter pictures. They aren’t formal, but we all had so much fun! Yes these pictures have been edited because they are out in front of the house, and our neighbor actually had about 10 cars in their driveway! Just simple cropping and color adjusting makes great memories. Whether you celebrate Easter or not, this can give you some great ideas to capture some of those cute outdoor moments!

If not happy Easter, then happy Sunday! ❤

Make Your Own Photo Collage

Image

Say hello to my little friends! From left to right (my kiddos) Madison, Rylan, and Mark. This was taken on the trip to Lake Catherine that I mentioned. We all loaded up and headed to the park. I don’t know if any of you keep a camera handy when at the park, but because most of my pictures come from my camera phone, I always have one handy.

Park dynamics are usually a bit crazy. Even being the only family on the playground at the time…We had enough to cover the entire park. We had five kiddos (including my niece) and the four adults (Me, the hubster, and the in-laws). Everyone was running around, jumping off things, climbing, etc. It was hard to get them to stop for a moment for a picture. I got some great ones, but I thought of this idea for the shot I couldn’t get all three of my little munchkins to take at the same time.

When Madison was little (and I still have the picture) she went with my ex’s step mom to the park and she got a picture of her peeking out a hole in one of the tubes/crawl spaces. I always loved that picture. Her eyes are so expressive. So I got the brilliant idea to try to get all three kiddos to do the same for me. Separately they were taken. Edited. Then selected to make a collage. Of course this proud momma thinks she has the cutest kids in the world!

As you can see, Mark was a little more difficult being the youngest. He’s my little wiggle butt who never sits still. I’m still convinced he’s been wiggling since the day he was conceived.

So this was just an idea to throw out to you guys. I use Picasa (a free program you can Google, I’m sure). It is easy to use and I’ve never had an issue with it. This, of course, is not sponsored by anyone. ^_^

I’m not sure if you’re able to share pictures of your own, but if you try this and blog it, leave me a link and I’d love to check it out!

I hope you are all having a beautiful day!

So, photography isn’t my only passion. Actually, you could say I’m passionate about many things in life. Make-up and photography are two loves that I would love to combine for the perfect job. It’s something I could use my creativity and artistic talents while helping other capture those memories and feel beautiful doing it.

So here is my dark smokey eye tutorial that I came up with the other day. I show you one way to capture a Drop Dead Diva’s look, but take it a little further to kick it up a notch. It is a very long video because I go on to show my concealer and foundation at the end.

Thank you for watching this video. Feel free to jump over and subscribe to see more. I hope you are all doing well out there! Any feedback is welcome as long as it is polite and helpful. Remember, I am not a trained professional make-up artist…Just an artist. 🙂

Have a beautiful day everyone!

A Dark Smokey Eye Layman’s Tutorial

Some words of Encouragement, from me to you!

So some of you guys may not know, but I write another blog called “Journey on the Final Countdown” (it can be found at journeyonthefinalcountdown.blogspot.com). I write about my journey over the last few years changing my lifestyle and seeking to lose weight and eat better. I want to show my kids all the hard work I have done. And while I haven’t lost any weight and am still seeking out all the puzzle pieces that work right for my puzzle, I stumbled upon something much more profound that I wanted to share here. ME!

Image

The other day while doing my make-up I just felt pretty. Ladies, you may understand that. Guys…You know some days you just feel like you’ve “got it.” There ya go…same thing. But if not, I want to tell you that you are unique. You there, reading this wherever you may be. You are beautiful and are very special. No one in this world is exactly like you. Even twins have their differences.

The one thing that I found most important on my journey is myself. I found a love for myself. Whether I have my glasses on…

Or rockin’ some aviators! \m/

Image

I am beautiful. Sometimes I need a little more help than others. Sometimes make-up just makes me feel “just right.” But there are great things that my body does for me and I take for granted. My body keeps breathing and passing along blood throughout my body when I sleep. I can walk to the store and back pushing two kids (see the other blog for that story). My body can fight colds, and sickness. I am only now at 26 realizing the amazing things it can do to heal itself and really that’s what my journey is all about. So if you’d like to see more about this journey I’ll list all the places you can find this journey below.

I love you guys too! Remember…I may be a photographer, artist, journey bloggers, mom…but I’m also a life cheerleader. If you’re feeling down or you need to be told you’re loved, just re-read this post till you believe it. You’re beautiful and I’m sending you so much love!
